Your opportunity to join our team in North Ryde!

As Senior Payroll Officer, you will form part of a collaborative team and report to the National Payroll Manager. You will be responsible for the preparation and processing of weekly payroll across your assigned states in accordance with legislation, awards and company policies, whilst providing advice and support to our operational leaders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage end to end weekly payroll processing across your assigned states
  • Manage end of pay payroll reporting
  • Perform month end processing
  • Set up new employees
  • Process Terminations
  • Maintain Master Data changes and import changes into Kronos system from ADP
  • Manage EA interpretations
  • Monitor Kronos to ensure Supervisors have completed their tasks prior to sign off
  • Import files from Kronos into ADP
  • Process Government Parental Leave and Child Support deductions
  • STP reporting
  • Manage Superannuation and Payroll Tax requirements
  • Perform leave reconciliations and redundancy calculations as required
  • Create ad hoc reports as required

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience in a high volume payroll environment is essential
  • Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation including taxation, superannuation and termination requirements
  • An understanding of, and ability to interpret multiple complex Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience working in a large business, ideally in FMCG or retail
  • ADP/Kronos experience is highly desirable but not essential
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer focused with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
