QA Supervisor (based at Hazelmere DC)

Your opportunity to join us at our new DC in Hazelmere!

As QA Supervisor for our Distribution Centre in Hazelmere, you will partner with the distribution team to ensure compliance of the site and food quality, drive improvement programs and lead the site Food Safety Culture Program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support site Operational team to implement the National Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS) including Hazard Assessment Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Food Safety
  • Lead the site’s Product Pride Program (Food Safety Culture Program) in conjunction with the site operations team
  • Develop site specific procedures to ensure implementation of National FSQMS
  • Manage and conduct internal and external audits
  • Ensure quality testing is carried out effectively, corrective actions and preventative measures are implemented in a timely fashion
  • Identify and escalate food safety, and quality issues and investigate and respond to customer complaints
  • Assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives and other Quality projects nationally
  • Prepare weekly QA reports
  • Support external providers such as pest control and cleaning contractors and assist the DC with training of new and existing staff

We’re interested in people who can bring:

  • Experience working in Quality in a food production organisation
  • Experience implementing Quality Assurance programs
  • A good understanding of food production including food safety, pathogen control and animal welfare
  • The proven ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • The ability to influence others
  • Strong knowledge in the area of food science and quality management
  • Strong data analytics, attention to detail and information processing skills
