The HSE Co-ordinator works collaboratively with the site to provide practical HSE advice and coaching to establish and maintain a safety culture. The role is responsible for contributing to the implementation of our Work Health and Safety Management System to achieve risk reduction strategies, implement proactive training programs and to provide assistance with Worker’s Compensation and Return to Work functions. The role involves working collaboratively with team members to achieve risk reduction / management, injury prevention and continual improvement.

Responsibilities include:

  • HSE Inspection and Audits
  • Champion HSE compliance across the site
  • Support site managers and operations leaders on HSE issues
  • Risk Assessments and Incident Investigation
  • Assist with WHS training programs
  • Ability to interpret legislation, regulations and guidelines and make practical recommendations to the site
  • Actively promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment

We’re interested in people who can bring

  • 4-5 years of HSE experience
  • Intermediate excel
  • Great communication skills and work well within a team
  • Certificate IV in Health and Safety (minimum)
  • Certificate IV in Environment (minimum)
  • First Aid Training
  • Certificate IV or Train the Trainer Qualifications
