Your opportunity to join us as Broiler Serviceperson in WA!

As Broiler Serviceperson you will be responsible for the detailed and diligent servicing of all contract broiler farms across WA, from Northam through to Mogumber. You will oversee c. 15 farms, working closely with the farm managers and wider Inghams business to support the day to day operations of the broiler farms to ensure optimal compliance and performance including the achievement of volume, cost, profit, animal welfare, safety and quality objectives.

This role comes with a company vehicle, and we can offer a relocation package to the right applicant.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support and guidance to the Broiler Farm Managers across WA
  • Drive improvement in the performance standards for growth, health, welfare and feed conversion of the broiler farms under your scope by partnering with broiler farm management
  • Monitor and report on the daily operations of the farms with responsibility for achieving optimal production standards and ensuring all livestock is treated humanely, and in compliance with Inghams Minimum Standard Procedures
  • Assist in monitoring and improving compliance to Inghams and our customers’ quality, safety, environmental, biosecurity and animal welfare standards
  • Partner with Technical Services to ensure that relevant policies and procedures for broiler farms are clearly defined, communicated and implemented effectively
  • Coach the team to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements relating to Animal Welfare, Food Safety and Quality
  • Liaise with Inghams Farming, Feed milling and Processing staff to advise and find solutions to any issues or opportunities identified on broiler farms
  • Lead or assist with projects across the farming network ensuring they are within framework, to budget and outcomes clearly communicated
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers
  • Ensure Inghams standards are communicated and met including animal welfare, work health and safety, quality and quarantine
  • Manage farming operations budgets across the sites
  • Identify, drive and embed continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency programs

We’re interested in people who can bring:

  • Previous experience managing a large portfolio of farms
  • Minimum 5 years’ poultry experience, preferably in Broiler servicing
  • Proven ability to develop, communicate and implement strategies for farming performance and/or compliance improvement
  • Experience providing and analysing operations reports
  • Experience monitoring compliance of policies and procedures (such as safety, quality, environmental, biosecurity, animal welfare
  • Proven ability to communicate with and develop team members
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative and compliance requirements
  • Experience in guiding/ implementing and influencing policies, processes and systems
  • Ability to demonstrate modern farming methods, a commitment to animal welfare and an interest in, and understanding of, the ways in which farming impacts the environment
  • Full driving licence
  • A degree is highly regarded in Agriculture or a related subject
