Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager this role is responsible for providing high quality, accurate and timely financial accounting support to ensure compliance, enhance decision making and achieve business goals. A key focus of this role will be to apply a challenging mindset with a view to improve and enhance processes and controls.

Responsibilities include:

  • Load the daily payments and transfers into banking portal
  • Perform the weekly bank reconciliations for Australia and New Zealand
  • Perform the accounting entries to reflect the daily banking entries in the BPCS ERP
  • Preparation of the weekly/monthly and quarterly treasury and ad-hoc journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of the P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with monthly timetables and ensuring all review matters are addressed on a timely basis
  • Preparation of weekly financial results to ensure accurate accounting and cost centre allocations
  • Producing regular, accurate and timely financial reporting to budget
  • BPCS/TM1 systems maintenance including GL master data management, period and year end close

We’re interested in people who can bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance / Accounting
  • CPA/ CA (or studying towards) desirable but not mandatory
  • TM1 – Financial reporting
  • BPCS – Accounting ERP
  • Ability to analyses data and information and translate it into business insights
  • Understanding of stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to be able to frame a problem and influence an outcome
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel
