Ingham’s piloting an EV leasing program with Origin 360 EV

Ingham’s is excited to pilot an EV leasing program with Origin 360 EV, that will provide our sales team with electric vehicles (EV) and help us work towards a more sustainable future. The Origin 360 EV Fleet solution is aimed at businesses who want to electrify their vehicles and reduce emissions from their fleet, with electric vehicles costing less to run than petrol-powered vehicles11. Ingham’s is also working with Origin Zero to onboard a comprehensive portfolio of energy management solutions.

Business Development Manager, Mel Taylor, took delivery of the first car this month. She travels 50,000 kilometres a year to visit customers in Sydney and regional New South Wales and also attends tradeshows promoting Ingham’s products. The new Tesla Model Y is designed for comfort and, with plenty of storage space, it allows Mel to easily transport point of sales, promotional items, and equipment. The pilot program also includes the installation of a dedicated EV charger that has been installed at her home.

Ingham’s is committed to continuing to play a leadership role in sustainability in the poultry industry. We strive to ensure our operations are good for our animals, our people and consumers, and our planet. As a 100-year business which relies on best practice farming, we are well positioned to make a positive difference by addressing sustainability challenges and opportunities.

  1. EVs have lower running costs than internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs). Fewer moving parts mean that EVs require less maintenance. https://electricvehiclecouncil.com.au/about-ev/myth-busting/ ↩︎
