Ingham’s Declared Leaders in CSR Field
Sydney (18 May 2016): Ingham’s is pleased to announce it was awarded the Yum! Supplier of the Year for corporate social responsibility at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney last night.
Yum! acknowledged Ingham’s position as “absolute leaders in this field” at the awards noting the business’ consistency at the very top of the Yum! environmental audits.
Ingham’s Sales and Marketing Director Jonathan Gray said the result was a fantastic one for the company.
“Special thanks must go to our Head of Business Sustainability Julia Seddon for her work in this field and her involvement in Farm to Fork – an industry-based project focussing on sustainability in food
production,” Mr Gray said.
“Julia has led a lot of innovation in our company in the area of sustainability and this award reflects her hard work and dedication towards enabling Ingham’s to become a leader in this field,” he said.
Ms Seddon said: “CSR is an important part of our business and a key plank in our partnership with KFC. Together we have pushed the sustainability boundaries in our shared supply chain and identified actions to reduce costs and risks.”
“A tangible outcome has been recycling used plastic sheeting at our facilities and KFC stores into usable products,” she concluded.
Yum! looks after the business operations of KFC and Pizza Hut in Australia.
