This year, Inghams brought together 84 supplier representatives in Sydney for our Supplier Day ANZ 2026 — the first time the event has been held in Australia, and a significant step in how we engage with our supplier community.
Held under the theme Creating Mutual Value Through Partnerships, the day was designed to do something not all businesses are willing to do — open up.
Our CEO and Managing Director, Ed Alexander joined MC and Head of Procurement, Blake Bebber on stage for a candid conversation about Inghams’ future strategy, followed by presentations from members of our Executive Leadership Team, including Andrew Lock, Clair Stevenson, David West and Caroline Hayes. A panel discussion rounded out the formal program, bringing together ELT members alongside supplier voices for an open exchange.
The keynote supplier address was delivered by Fiona Geminder of Visy, whose multi-generational partnership with Inghams stretches back to the Inghams’ family era. Fiona reflected on what two iconic, family-founded Australian businesses have unlocked together over decades — from packaging innovation to sustainability outcomes — and what that kind of long-standing trust makes possible.
Three awards were presented on the day. Multiquip Transport was named Supplier of the Year, recognised for their ongoing innovation in live bird transport and their willingness to co-design solutions alongside our Farming team. Carl Salmon from PPG took out Account Manager of the Year. And Sarah Abrahams from Labelmakers received the inaugural Oh Cluck Award — our nod to the person who steps into solution mode when things don’t go to plan and keeps everyone moving without fuss.Feedback from suppliers was overwhelmingly positive. They felt closer to Inghams, valued the transparency, and left with a clearer sense of how we can grow together. That’s exactly what we were hoping for.
