About the role:

As an Electrician your main responsibilities will be to execute electrical maintenance to ensure production requirements are met. Working within a close knit team, you will be a team player and take initiative to ensure smooth operations. The position will require an enthusiastic and driven individual with a solutions driven outlook utilising sound electrical maintenance practices. To be successful in this position, major functions will include;

  • Monitor and respond to plant repairs, maintenance and breakdowns in order to minimise downtime, improve reliability and maximise overall efficiency.
  • Develop and drive preventative and routine maintenance procedures to improve efficiency in a safe manner.
  • Investigating machinery failures and making recommendations to reduce downtime.

To be successful in this role:

  • Electrical fitter trade qualification and NZ registration is essential
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement approach and ability to support a broad variety of electrical work
  • Industrial machinery experience and fault finding skills are essential
  • Ability to work in a timely manner and to deadlines
  • You will be a team player who is quick to take initiative and work succinctly with internal customers.

This role is a busy but rewarding one, so having excellent attention to detail and time management will be essential.
